I suppose it’s just going to be coming up more and more, having to have our little differences for the time being. I’m sure crom will be back. Just have to agree to disagree on whatever it is. maybe we can ask him sometime.
But this was a very informative discussion. I’m surprised Odin showed no real emotion with the topic. But i guess it’s just another of those more recent species that goes into the regrettable bin for someone like Odin. interesting about the naga tho. Sure there are no benevolent/neutral naga at all? but what was talked about with the naga/draco here, totally reflected in the Conan Adventurer cartoon series. SET, the giant serpent naga and his henchmen race, the shapeshifting reptilians from another dimension, Set’s dimension. Also seen in the game, Exiles. Dont remember much about the 70s movies. But actually in the Howard novelettes, reptilians and naga were mentioned maybe once or twice, not having any significant part of any story. The snakes tho, there were a few big ones. The Stygians worshiped Set, so it was actually a crime to harm any snake. They had the big ones roaming their cities at night (out of temples or sewers) and they were free to feed on anyone dumb enough to be out in the street. Conan did meet a couple of vamps in the stories tho, one in a stygian temple. One of the more interesting things he wrote about was an elephant being who was older than dirt and came from a distant star with a very high level of technology, knowledge and magical know-how but got his eyes gauged out. Similar to Odin, but fortunately Odin has very staunch eyes. like dandelions. they just keep popping back up.
